The other day, Royal was telling his family about how much the Schrater's love The Beatles. It's true. I can't even explain how much I love their music. I guess it's pure nostalgia to me. We grew up listening to them and my dad loved them. Royal said he doesn't know any of their songs (pain), so I decided to start training him on the amazingness of The Beatles.

First this video.

It hurts my heart when I think of him not getting it.

Black Friday

This year we had a progressive Thanksgiving.
Breakfast at Joe and Amy's, dinner at Rebecca's, and dessert and games as Jesse and Nicole's.
It was a very fun Thanksgiving, I think my favorite part was the Beatles Rockband game. Very funny to see the whole family rocking out...

I'm working today, but we were so slow that I got sent home early, and have to go back tonight. I'm thinking of facing the cold and gathering twigs and pinecones to start a wreath like these.
The ribbon is such a nice touch!

Need some color

This year we are doing a gift exchange for Christmas. This is a good thing since my family has become HUGE. Now I just need to make my list. I remembered these tonight, and will definitely add them!

Add these from MoMA

Ombre Hair

This is the ombre hair style I've been dreaming of for the last 5 years and finally figured out it's a dying technique. I've been thinking of it long enough now that I just need to do it... The only holdup is finding a salon I trust to do the balayage technique instead of regular highlighting.

I already have the right base hair color, wave, and cut, so it will be perfect for me! I will bring both these photo's in.

Bright Star

Tonight I am home alone, feeling melancholy.
I will think of my most magnificent Nanny, who is the hospital.
I will watch one of my favorite movies, "Bright Star".
I will treat myself to a bread&chocolate Theo bar, with a cup of PG Tips with milk and honey.

"Bright Star", is a beautiful love story between poet John Keats and fashion designer Fanny Brawne. It is a familiar love to me, not because we have a similar love story, but because the movie portrays love that feels real.

Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art–
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature’s patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth’s human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors–
No–yet still stedfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow’d upon my fair love’s ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever–or else swoon to death.
-John Keats

Wrappers Delight

Okay, is this not perfection? It's like a blanket, scarf, vest, and shawl, all in one! It looks so warm! Yokoo on Etsy has some great knitted things. Which reminds me, I need to buy this snood from Jcrew soon. Just hoping it goes on sale! I think snoods are a miracle creation, a scarf and hood combo!

"A Swedish Love Story". I can't find this movie anywhere, and I am dying to see it. It's a Swedish film from the 1960's that we found while watching a music video, and I can't get over the style of it. I will keep looking!

No words, just this photo.

I am adding one notch to the desire of shaving my head. /

I never read horoscopes, or think anything of them, but I really liked these fashion photography horoscopes from vogue found here.

Herriott Grace

Beautiful pieces at Herriott Grace. If only I could afford the pedestal cake stands... They were at Little Winter Market in Portland. So sad I missed it! I love these cakes, and the little flags are such a nice delicate touch.

I'm being inspired left and right, I can't keep up! I really need to start a baking portfolio, and someday I will supply goods for events (I really don't like to use the word cater).

Tonight I'm thinking about our wedding day, and how much love I have for him. We've been married for 15 months now. I was reminded of our perfect day from listening to Rogue Wave's version of "Everyday" by Buddy Holly. Around the wedding I listened to it on repeat. I think the song sums up the excitement of the wedding day. Now I listen to it and I start to get those anxious butterflies that were all too familiar on the day!

Every moment was precious. I love you best friend.
